Or ask your Jewish friend about whether her grandparents would have liked to have had access to a form of money that they could have carried out of Nazi Germany just by remembering a password. It’s possible that the passage of time has reduced the salience of this scenario for her. But it’s probably top-of-mind to a Venezuelan refugee today.
